Entrance to the Trail is free for visitors to enjoy and is open all year round during daylight hours, with access to the site usually limited to vehicles under 6ft 6" (approx. 2m) in height. To enter with a taller vehicle please contact the Chiltern Sculpture Trust or Forest Enterprise in advance of your visit. Limited parking space for over-height vehicles is also available at the side of the road into the Trail car park.

Many of the sculptures can be reached from the woodland's approx. 2 mile (3km) long perimeter path, whilst other works are located deeper in the forest to be sought out by the more adventurous visitor. Wheelchair and pushchair access is very good to the majority of pieces as there are no gates, steps, stiles or steep inclines. However, during or after wet weather some paths can become rutted and caution is advised in muddy areas. More information about access to the Trail is on the location page.
